11/21/12
We're back from our November trips, and we have been out and about collecting cans! Both in the truck (for regular routes) and on the bikes.
Not sure if you remember THIS post about our run-in with some poison ivy/oak...but it's back and somehow I've got it on my leg/ankle now! I need to remember to stay out of the woods!!!
With or without poison ivy/oak, we've got cans to collect!

Another Trip and Missing Supplies
11/16-17/12
Well....Trav and I are back on vacation! Last week we went to my favorite church in Fort Lauderdale {read about it HERE}, and this week we are traveling to the other end of Florida-- PANAMA CITY!! Yikes! That's a 9 or 10 hour drive for us!
Before we left, we had to stop by one of the Canning Crew family's house to pick up an AWESOME sign that this Crew member's brother made for our trip. Our nephew turned 1 and we needed a fun sign to put in the yard. How cute is our nephew??? And look at that sign! AMAZING!!
Back to the story....driving to this Crew member's family's house, we noticed that it was recycling day. Once we pulled up to the house, I noticed something inside the Crew member's family's recycling bins...do you see it????
CANS!!! LOL! I texted this info and picture to the Canning Crew member. It was super funny! Good way to start our trip:)
While on our vacation visiting family, we enjoyed a quick walk around the neighborhood. On our walk, we found many cans! However, we didn't pick them up! (THUD--that's me hitting my forehead) We forgot a bag and gloves/etc! Plus, it was super cold out (we kept our hands inside our pockets to keep warm!). Hopefully the next time we go up there, we will bring the necessary items for canning! **NOTE:: I cannot believe we didn't go prepared! LOL!

In this pic, I was telling the walking crew about the can in the woods/grassy area.

Happy Anniversary!!!
11/10/12
**This post is almost a month after our real anniversary date-- so sorry I'm behind!!
Today is Trav and my 6th year anniversary!!! Happy Anniversary!!!
Trav surprised me and took me away for the weekend. We went to Ft. Lauderdale to go see one of my FAVORITE pastors-- BOB COY and Calvary Chapel church!! What a fabulous weekend!
And even though we are away celebrating....we can't help but see cans and pick them up!
We also went to several Apple stores (we are a Mac family!!). We were looking at getting a new iPad Mini....and check out what I caught Trav emailing about:) SOOOOOO SWEET!!!!
And look what I had to load on as many iPads and computers while in the store! We heard cans opening up ALL over the store!
Canning on our anniversary! Can't get any better than that;) I love you, TRO'G!!!!!!!!

It's Time!!! Again! {part2}
11/09/12 continued
Yesterday's post {HERE} was our first trip to the recycling center today--the truck load looked small but was a surprising 115 pounds!!!
We headed to the Cans4Christ trailer at the church right after unloading the truck. We couldn't see in the trailer well, so we took guesses as to how full it was.
Trav: pretty full (not sure how to measure that! LOL!)
Sav: 2/3 full
Winner???? Not sure! It was pretty full....like 2/3's full! We both win!! Once again, loading up the truck didn't take much time at all today! Must be because we do this so often that we are getting into a routine!
Back to the recycling center. This load was a huge success!
Total pounds recycled this trip: 68

It's Time!!! Again! {part1}
11/09/12
Yesterday's post stated that we are getting more and more people involved with canning {click HERE to read all about it}. Well...this means that Cans4Christ needs to head to the recycling center again! More cans....MORE trips to the center!
Trav loaded the truck...doesn't look like much!
And we took the cans in! Quick and easy! And actually the total weight for this trip was more than I thought! Look at all those bags on the scale at the recycling center!!!
Total pounds recycled this trip: 115

Another NEWBIE!!!!!!
11/08/12 continued
I cannot tell you how much I love having more and more people get involved with Cans4Christ!
Tonight we had a NEWBIE Canner join us! She's a bit young....but that doesn't matter! Young and old can CAN!!!
Canning President Kate's niece, L, came along for our Monday night route. And so did Olsen!! He just loves L {and Kates....and canning}.
In case you are wondering....YES! We giggled again all night! L joined in the fun and played along with our silly jokes! At one stop, we told L that we would be back before the clock said 5:45 (L is still learning to tell time--so we told her to watch the numbers). We also told her to hold her breath the while we were gone! LOL! *I don't think she really held her breath, but it sure made for some laughs!

- I love that we are getting more bags dropped off at the trailer at the church!
- I also love when we get an email with a photo of friends canning along with a story about their desire and canning obsession!!!!
- And I love x10 when friends go canning with us on our routes!
