I'm getting so behind on my posting I almost forgot the best post! We made our first trip to the recycling center because our garage was starting to overflow with cans. We filled up the back of the truck and off we went.
All but one of the bags in this photo contain crushed cans... that'll give you an idea of just how many are there!

Once we got to the recycling center we quickly learned the process of weighing our loot by stacking them all on the floor scale.

I really had no idea how much we had, weight wise... but I would have never guessed when the scale stopped at 125 lbs!!! As we left the house Savannah guessed we might get eight or ten dollars for our truckload, and I secretly hoped she was way off since the entire truck bed was FULL!

Check out our "How Much are we Talking?" page to see the potential this ministry has for raising money for the FAC Building fund.

I underestimated our load! Normally I round down....sometimes I round up....but with canning, I had no clue:)

I cannot believe how much we raised--and I can't wait to see how much we can give back to the church and glorify God;) I LOVE LOVE LOVE canning!!!
